Tes Elations started in late 2010 when cellist Isaac Takeuchi asked Barrie Rose to start a band after being impressed by her vocal performance with friend Michael Nhat. Shortly after writing a few songs on their own they asked friends Noah Guevara and Dylan Fujioka of Upsilon Acrux to join. Tes Elations builds on the chamber music sonics of Takeuchi’s previous project Slumber Beast, but incorporates eastern folk music, post punk and math/prog influences. They believe in a democratic approach to song writing and decision making. Tes Elations are known to play shows at DIY venues in Los Angeles and Echo Park: the Smell, Pehr Space etc.
